     Hello, My name is Angie and I am a single mother, In 2006 I lost my health, I have Parkinsons disease  and also Fibromyalgia. I was very lucky, even though my sons and I lost our home, I had a wonderful friend whom let us live with them. It was cramped but like I said I was so grateful. When I got my disability, we found a place to rent and somewhere for us once again to call home. I have been living here for over a year now. We have oil heat, and with the oil that I need to buy and the rent I pay. I can either pay the rent or buy oil, but I do not have money for both. I do not want to lose our place to live again, My son asks me every month, Did you pay the rent Mom?? I know he is terrified of losing our place to live again. I assure him all is fine. But, now I am getting scared. I only need $400.00. I have tried to get help from local places that offer help, but they all say they have no funds. PLEASE someone help me. I will pay you back. Hey there Angie,

I read your post and it sounds like we are going through similar situations. I too, am in the process of applying for disability. It has been a pain in the you know what so far. Did you have to get a lawyer to help you out with the process?

Hi Angie-

First of I am sorry you have parkinson's as a dear friend of mine has it and Fibromyalgia as I know people who have that also. The diseases are hard ones to live with so take care...

Call 211 to see what kind of resources they have such as temporary cash assistance.

Try grantedwish.org too but it is only a one time help so make it a great request. 

You can try modestneeds.com but they usually want some income coming it - can't hurt to apply..

check with 211 for any information for cold weather rules or the place that supplies your heat.

check out churches to like

as the above place can assist with rent etc...
